As a mom of two boys I know how busy life can get and how easy it is to put yourself (and your health) last. Not making my health and happiness a priority led me down a path of self pity, negativity, and hopelessness. Sounds depressing, uh? That is who I was and this is how I change my mindset and my life...



ROUND ONE

After my first pregnancy, I was blessed with a beautiful healthy baby and about 30 additional pounds. My thoughts about my body started out positive, I was a first time mom and my focus was on my baby, as it should be. I wasn't treating my self with care, I mean, it was the bare minimum-shower, brush teeth, and go to bed. Slowly, I started to resent the amazing body that created this miracle and negative thoughts took over. I stopped enjoying going out and showing off my new baby because I was so self conscious... and exhausted! Something had to change, I couldn't live the rest of my life miserable when I had so much to enjoy. 

 

 

WHERE MY JOURNEY BEGAN

I started small, a simple walk/jog around my neighborhood, drinking water daily, limiting the junk that I used to eat daily. Then I hit  the dreaded plateu (its called dreaded for a reason) I could not budge these last 20 pounds. I had to step it up. But how? I didn't have a plan. I needed guidance and support. So, I did what anyone who is clueless about something googled  " how to break weightloss palteus", After too many pop up ads about skinny drinks and miracle wraps I almost gave up but after consistenly searching for a plan, I finally found one. I want to say I stuck to the plan, but I struggled. I didn't have the right support. I needed someome who could relate to what I was going through. It took time, but I lost the last of my unwanted weight and then baby #2.

ROUND TWO

So, I had literally just reached my weight loss goal and I was pregnant again. Go figure! I was positive this time would be easier but once again, I was stressed and overwhelmed. Another 50 pounds to work off. I knew what I needed this time; SUPPORT and accountability. I joined an online group of mothers and women ready to take control of their health.

 

With two little ones, 45 minute workouts were not happening. I needed a shortcut without taking drastic measures-I got what I asked for. 25 minutes a day was music to my ears. It was hard. There were alot of tears (from me) and times I just felt defeated but I was determined to do this. It only took one month of dedication to my health to see changes in my body and my outlook on life improved dramatically. 

 

WHERE YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS

I am here to pay it forward. I know what helped me and has helped thousands of others. This is NOT a one size fits all journey so why should a fitness plan be the same for everyone?
